INSTALL EXPANSION TIDAK PERLU BERURUTAN

INSTALLING and CRACKING THE GAME

Ada 2 cara, beli dan download (ini untuk pirated games)

Base game and EPs other than UNI & NL
1. Install seperti biasa (kalau perlu di mount, berarti perlu Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/) atau Alcohol.
2. Buka isi CDnya, biasanya ada folder namanya Crack/Vitality/RELOADED/nama group2 cracking lainnya.
3. Isinya pasti ada Sims2EPx.exe atau Sims2SPx.exe, COPY filenya, lalu pindah ke tempat kamu install (C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2\TSBin), di dalamnya pasti ada Sims2EPx.exe, ganti extensionnya jadi .bak, dan paste crack yang tadi.
4. RUN THE GAME!

UNI & NL
1. Install seperti biasa (kalau perlu di mount, berarti perlu Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/) atau Alcohol.
2. Cari mini imagenya, copy ke hard disk, terserah dimana.
3. Kalau mau main tinggal di mount.

CATATAN : Kamu hanya perlu meng-crack EP terakhir! Misalnya kamu langsung install berbarengan beberapa EP sekaligus, cuma EP terakhir yang perlu di crack



SEBELUM INSTALL EP BARU, SAVED GAMENYA DI BACK UP DULU!

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS bisa didapat dari official site www.thesims2.com (http://www.thesims2.com), liat di bagian masing2 EP.




PATCHING
1. Sebaiknya tunggu sampai crack untuk patch tersebut keluar. Meskipun game bisa berjalan dengan baik menggunakan patch lama, tetapi tidak disarankan.
2. Jika crack yang baru sudah keluar, tinggal di crack seperti biasa.



BYPASS THE LAUNCHER (UNTUK BV keatas, optional)
1. Di desktop di shortcutnya, klik kanan >> properties
2. Di bagian target ""D:\Games\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 FreeTime\TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe" ganti Sims2Launchernya jadi Sims2EPx.exe (x refer to the EP number, e.g : BV itu Sims2EP6.exe)
3. Klik ok atau apply.



INSTALLING CC
1. Biasanya CC itu formatnya ZIP atau RAR, kadang 7z.
2. Untuk zip tidak memerlukan utility apa2 karena windows sudah mensupport format itu.
3. Untuk RAR bisa menggunakan winrar, tapi 7Zip (http://www.7zip.com) direkomendasikan karena support berbagai macam format dan lebih kecil lagi gratis.
4. Setelah di extract, taruh di dalam folder Downloads yang ada di My Document (My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads), unless stated otherwise.
5. Untuk file collection sebaiknya ditaruh didalam folder Collections (My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections)

SUBFOLDERING

Untuk Nightlife keatas, BEBAS membuat subfolder didalam folder Downloads.

Kalau hanya punya University atau base game, ada yang ga bisa ditaruh di subfolder.
Yang bisa di subfolder:

• Buy mode items
• Build mode items
• Hacks
• Custom careers
• Bodyshop meshes (hair, clothing, accessories meshes)

Yang GA BISA ditaruh di subfolder:

• Sims
• Bodyshop recolors (skintones, eyes, eyebrows, accessories, makeups, facial hairs, hairs, clothing recolors)

APA ITU MESH?
The sims 2 is a 3D based game. Semua object, baju, rambut, dll terdiri dari kerangka dan tekstur. Mesh yang memberi bentuk, dan tekstur yang memberi warna, dll. Analoginya itu mesh=kerangka, tekstur=kulit.


BACK UP YOUR SAVED GAMES
1. COPY (bukan cut ataupun move) folder The Sims 2 yang ada di My Documents ke tempat yang diinginkan, bisa di hard disk, HD external, atau CD/DVD.
2. Ada beberapa orang yang memback up gamenya dengan cara move foldernya ke desktop, install EP, dan kemudian move lagi ke my documents. INI CARA YANG SALAH! Dengan cara ini, saved game kamu tidak akan terupgrade oleh installasi EP dan dapat menyebabkan masalah.

TROUBLESHOOTING


Install CC bodyshop (clothings, hairs, etc) tapi ga muncul/revert ke baju maxis?
-Coba kembali ke tempat dimana kamu download dan liat disana apakah perlu mesh, kalau ternyata harus, download mesh-nya.
-Jika tidak perlu mesh perhatikan apakah perlu EP tertentu. Kalau ga punya EP yang diperlukan maka ga bisa install CC itu.


Ga bisa bikin wall/ masalah dengan build mode!
Crack out of date. Download yang baru di GCW (http://m0007.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_the_sims_2.shtml), pilih yang MULTI NO-DVD!
Pilihan lain adalah dengan menginstall EP karena masalah ini hanya ada di crack basegame yang awal banget.


Walls and Floors flashing red/blue!
1. Update driver VGA, kalau masih tidak bisa,
2. Beli graphic card baru.


Game crash sebelum berhasil loading
1. Delete groups.cache di dalam folder Sims2 di My documents. Kalau perlu cigen.package juga. (file2 ini akan di regenerate secara otomatis oleh gamenya)
2. Kalau masih belum bisa, MOVE folder Downloads ke desktop.
2. Buka game, kalau tidak crash, berarti masalah dengan CC, cari tahu CC mana yang bermasalah. (http://www.thesims-indonesia.com/index.php/topic,681.msg13432.html#msg13432)
3. Kalau tetap crash, cek spek komputer apakah memenuhi system requirements.


Game crash ketika mau masuk lot, atau lotnya loading terus tanpa akhir
1. Coba tanpa folder downloads, kalau tanpa folder downloads bisa masuk berarti masalah CC, cari tahu CC yang bermasalah. (http://www.thesims-indonesia.com/index.php/topic,681.msg13432.html#msg13432)
2. Kalau masalahnya tetap ada, coba di neighborhood screen buka cheat console dan masukkan loadlot "nama lot", misalnya loadlot "The Monty Ranch"
3. Kalau bisa, berarti ada sesuatu yang corrupt.


Game crash ketika mau masuk CAS dan "Change appearance"
1. MOVE folder "saved sims" di my documents ke desktop.
2. Masuk ke game, jika sudah tidak crash berarti ada masalah dengan isi folder itu. cari tahu mana yang bermasalah. (http://www.thesims-indonesia.com/index.php/topic,681.msg13432.html#msg13432)
3. Jika masih crash, berarti ada masalah dengan folder downloads, pindahkan foldernya ke desktop dan nyalakan gamenya.
4. Masih crash, mungkin ada yang corrupt di saved gamenya, coba pindahkan SELURUH folder The Sims 2 yang ada di my document, biarkan gamenya generate yang baru.
5. Kalau masih crash juga, berarti ada yang corrupt sama program filesnya, mungkin harus install ulang.


Game crash ketika load neighborhood, atau neighborhood hilang
1. Coba tanpa folder downloads, jika bisa berarti masalah CC. cari tahu CC yang bermasalah. (http://www.thesims-indonesia.com/index.php/topic,681.msg13432.html#msg13432)
2. Jika tetap tidak bisa, coba di neighborhood selection screen buka cheat console masukkan "loadlot "N00x;lotname"" (itu cheat yang dikasi tau ke gw waktu beta testing, gw ga yakin apakah bisa jalan di setiap game, di game gw sih bisa)
3. Kalau bisa, berarti ada yang corrupt.


Game suka crash randomly
1. Coba dulu jalanin gamenya tanpa CC, kalau tidak crash, cari tahu CC yang bermasalah (http://www.thesims-indonesia.com/index.php/topic,681.msg13432.html#msg13432)
2. Kalau tetap crash meskipun tanpa CC, cek system requirement di official site thesims2.com, apakah memenuhi.
3. Jika memang memenuhi, coba update driver VGA.


CC tidak muncul semua!
1. Triple check apakah custom contentnya sudah di ENABLED.
2. Kalau tadinya disabled, setelah diganti jadi enabled harus restart game dulu.


CC bodyshop tidak muncul! Yang lain (objects,dll) muncul!
Cek apakah folder downloads kamu huruf depannya kapital. Harus 'Downloads', kalau 'downloads' kadang bodyshop ga membaca.


Udah pake boolprop tetep ga bisa drag skill, relationships, dll
Berarti tadi masukin cheatnya pas di dalem lot, klo udah begitu musti kluar dulu ke neighborhood, terus masuk lagi.

MENCARI TAHU CC BERMASALAH
1. Perhatikan masalahnya, ingat baik2.
2. Keluar dari game.
3. PINDAHKAN (bukan copy) setengah dari isi folder downloads kamu ke folder lain. (klo gw biasa di desktop bikin folder TEMP)
4. Nyalakan game.
5. -Kalau errornya masih ada, ulangi dari step 2. (jadi sekarang tinggal seperempat di dalam folder downloads)
   -Kalau sudah tidak error, keluar dari game dan TUKAR separuh yang masih ada di folder downloads dengan separuh yang terakhir kamu keluarkan.
6. -Error lagi : berarti CC bermasalah ada di grup separuh yang terakhir. Kembali ke step 3 sampai hanya ada satu CC di folder downloads kamu, itulah CC yang bermasalah.
   -Ga error : berarti ada konflik diantara CC yang ada di grup separuh 1 dan separuh 2. Cari tahu menggunakan metode ini CC mana yang konflik.



GENERATE AN ERROR LOG
1. Aktifkan debug mode (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true)
2. Jika errornya keluar, pencet cancel atau reset.
3. Error lognya ada di My Documents/EA GAMES/The Sims 2\Logs




MASUK DEBUG MODE DI CAS
1. Aktifkan debug mode (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true)
2. Di dalam CAS, tekan shift+n
3. Untuk mematikan, tekan shift+m

Uninstalling


Uninstall Sims 2 lengkap

1. Back up User Data. Buka My Documents\EA Games folder. Copy folder The Sims 2 ke tempat lain. Ini sudah termasuk semua neighborhoods, custom content, dan semua saved data.

2. Lalu uninstall menggunakan uninstaller yang tersedia (Start >> Programs >> EA Games >> The Sims 2 (or Expansion Name) >> Uninstall) mulai dari expansion/stuff packs (tidak harus berurutan) dan terakhir base game. Pastikan saved game telah di back up sebelum click "yes" waktu peringatan tentang saved game muncul.


Uninstall hanya satu atau beberapa packs.

Jika cuma mau uninstall satu (atau lebih) expansion pack, bisa menggunakan uninstaller dari game.

Start >> Programs >> EA Games >> The Sims 2 (Expansion Name) >> Uninstall.

Warning : Semua save games, custom content, sims, lots akan hilang. Back up dulu sebelum uninstall. Saved games tidak backwards-compatible. Kalau salah satu expansion di uninstall maka neighborhoods lama tidak bisa dimainkan, harus mulai dari awal. CC yang membutuhkan EP yang di uninstall tidak akan bekerja.

Dengan The Sims 2 Deluxe or The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, tidak bisa uninstall packs yang sudah bundled di dalamnya.
