How to make the Tutorial Neighborhood playable:

You need SimPe

Install SimPE if you haven't already.
Open SimPE. Go up to file and choose open and browse to
C:\Documents and Settings\Mom\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\N001
and open the file: N001_Neighborhood

In the left window highlight and right click the Catolog Desription file and choose extract
save the file to the desktop (remember to take note of file name on the desktop)
Then again, highlight and right click the ID Number file and choose extract
save the file to the desktop (again remember to take note of file name on the desktop)

Now go up to file and choose open and browse to
C:\Documents and Settings\Mom\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\Tutorial
and open the file: Tutorial_Neighborhood

Right click anywhere in the right window and choose add
browse to the Catolog Desription file on the desktop, highlight it and click open. Wait a few seconds while it is installing.
Repeat this same procedure to install the ID Number file.

Once they are intalled in the left window highlight the newly installed Catalog Description file and in the right window highlight the one file you see there. In the plugin view below Change the String line from Pleasantview to another name. Don't use the name Tutorial, any name but that. Sedona is nice because then you will get the camera tour of your city when you enter it.
Also hightlight the 0x0001 string and you can change the description to Tutorial Neighborhood or anything you like. Press the commit file button over to the far upper right. Then go up to file and save.

Now highlight the ID Number file in the left window, and then the file in the right window. In the parent Name box type a new neighborhood number. N009 is good, or a number you don't already have in your neighborhoods folder. In the UID click on the blue make unique link. Press commit botton at the far right, go up to file and save.

Finally. Close SimPE. Go to your neighborhood directory
C:\Documents and Settings\Mom\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods

Rename the tutorial folder N009 (or whatever ID Number you chose).
Open the Tutorial folder, open the characters folder change every file so that instead of the word tutorial on each file it has N009 (or whatever). This is the most tedious part but it really doesn't take that long.
The do the same thing for the lots folder (only six of them) and the thumbnails folder (only one file here).

Now start your game up and your new neighborhood should show up on the neighborhood screen.

Have fun playing with Tutorial Joe and Jane and developing their town!

If you want a picture for your neighborhood screen, take a picture of Joe and Jane standing in front of the house or the neighborhood in the neighborhood view with the in game camera. You will find it in the storytelling folders in the N009 neighborhood folder or in the Sims 2 data folder. Double click on it and save it to the desktop in png. format. Then change the name of the file to N009_Neighborhood. Put it in the N009 neighborhood folder. Next time you open your game your new neighborhood will have a picture.

bukan, kalo kita baru mulai game the sims 2 kan ada pilihan how to play, dimana disitu kita diajarin main dasar-dasar game disebuah neighborhood khusus (Tutorial Neighborhood) dengan 2 sims didalamnya (tutorial jim sim dan tutorial jane sims kalo gak salah nama simsnya...).

nah ini grand post cara buat export neighborhood itu agar kita bisa mainin dengan bebas!
